#10yearschallenge a trend on social media today has seen many laugh out loud uncontrollably even in public places. For many it was an avenue to reflect on the past, make a comparison and appreciate God for the undeniable transformation while for some others it was a wonderful opportunity to make a mockery of others. Whichever the case, the trend was perhaps the most captivating of all trends for the day. This shows how effective social media is in shaping narratives in a country like ours with a teeming youth population who are majorly unemployed or underemployed despite the availability of abundant human and material resources in the country. Hence, the need for the teeming population of youths to use the power at their disposal to collectively promote Nigeria and champion several causes online that will make the country a better place by challenging the present status quo that promotes gerontocracy, encourages mediocrity at the expense of meritocracy and allows impunity and evil to thrive leaving the majority in a sorry state.
Dear Reader, take your time to imagine how we can make things work for good by merely posting and reposting on social media. We can change this country for good gradually if we all decide to.
