Dear Nigerians, as you prepare to go out to exercise your franchise,you must understand the following;
1. Elections are periodic events and it gives you a voice through your vote.
2. Voting in an election is a civic responsibility for all adult citizens (18+).
3. Your choice should be determined by you and you alone; and it must be based on an objective assessment of the Parties/Candidates antecedent,promises and capacity to deliver.
4.Do not succumb to intimidation of any form or any kind and be civil in your approach to ensuring your right is not trampled by anyone in mufti or in uniform.
5.The Election venue is not a place to campaign.
6.Do not sell your vote for any reason.
7.If you can stay back until voting is completed in your polling unit and the result is announced before you leave.
8.Be vigilante,very sensitive and alert.
9.Be kind to other voter’s and assist the aged,physically challenged.
10.Cooperate with INEC Officials and security agents rather than frustrate their effort to ensure a smooth voting process in your polling unit.
11.Beware of wild jubilations in violence prone areas.
12.Ensure whatever information you’ll circulate online as regards the election is genuine.
13.Don’t share unconfirmed reports from anyone.
14.Be patient enough to get accurate,detailed information before posting an update online.
15.Ensure nothing on you is branded with the name of a political party or it’s candidate.
16.If you must talk, talk with recourse to common sense and critical reasoning.
17.Regardless of the outcome of the election, be at peace with everyone.
18.Do not openly show who you are voting for or take pictures of your ballot paper after thumbprinting.
