DAILY DIGEST (THE VALUE OF A GIFT)

Spread the love

The true value of a gift is not its price. As such, when you are given a gift please accept it wholeheartedly and show gratitude. Be gracious and continue to show appreciation to the giver rather than trying to assess the worth of the gift while the giver is still around. In the real sense, the intention of the giver should matter more to you than the gift itself, so don’t try to inspect neither should you bother asking what it cost the giver. In receiving gifts, be conscious of the fact that it takes a heart of love to give and the giver must have sacrificed his or her time, energy and resources in a bid to make you happy. Hence the need to always appreciate gifts given with an altruistic motive.
