A vast majority of people in Nigeria are living with what can be termed ‘illness denial’, as they are failing to accept they are at risk of getting Coronavirus disease. They can’t bring their mind to the terms that a deadly disease that originated from China has found it way to Nigeria. For some, it is as a result of a distrust in the activities of the Nigerian government while for others it is due to sheer ignorance or perceived faith in their immunity to the disease as believers.

This is no doubt a major problem for our country at a time like this when the World is at war. At such, it is imperative for everyone that understands the devastating effect of a possible spread of the virus in a country like ours with poor health care facilities to do everything possible to make people around them understand what is at stake. Doing this will go a long way to help contain this deadly virus before it kills us all.

Let’s discuss, what is your opinion on this issue?
